The Logan metropolitan area is defined as covering Cache County, Utah and Franklin County, Idaho. Officially, it is known as the Logan, UT-ID MSA. Cache County is served by the First Judicial District, which covers Box Elder, Cache and Rich counties. The 1st District Court located in Logan is the main trial court with general jurisdiction over all civil and criminal cases filed in the county. Logan also has a county juvenile court, and the limited jurisdiction Logan City Municipal Justice Court.
