1. Obion County is served by the 27th Judicial District, with the Obion County Circuit Court located in Union City as the main trial court with general jurisdiction. This court handles all the felony cases for the county. The Obion County Chancery Court and the civil division of the Obion County Circuit Court have concurrent jurisdiction over most civil cases filed in the county. The Obion County General Sessions Court has limited jurisdiction over misdemeanors, traffic offenses, and minor civil cases. A separate juvenile court handles all matters concerning minors.
